You cannot play in the All Blacks if you don't play the Super 14...

...unless your name starts with "D" and ends with "an Carter".

Or so it seems the NZRU is willing to do. NZRU would be relaxing its policy to gain the All Black jersey. They would accept a player who's played a year abroad. Does it makes any sense to you?

Just watch it here.

I think this is a shy step and the full step will be taken sooner or later.

I am not certain with Henry in charge just how many of the All Blacks are interested in plying their trade in a provincial environment. That includes Carter.
To make an exception for him is like selling nuclear weapons to your enemy on the condition they not be used against you.

There are already voices in New Zealand asking for the NZRU relax the requirements for playing with the All Blacks...

It has to happen and I think the NZRU knows it but they don't want to do it in just one step.
